Last night, Brandon, Carter, Kris, Heather, and I drove down to Eugene. We dropped Heather off at Julie's house, and then the guys and I went to a concert at the McDonald theater in Eugene. We saw War of Ages, Bless the Fall, Demon Hunter, and As I Lay Dying. It was so much fun. Bless the Fall was terrible so we hung in the back. Then for Demon Hunter we went to the front. It was really crowded though, and the people weren't into it, which sucked. But Ryan Clark, the lead singer, was great, and they ended on Storm the Gates of Hell, which was awesome. I was wondering if Randy from Project 86 was going to be there, but he wasn't. As I Lay Dying came on next, and that was amazing. We got really into it, and I even moshed a bit. :D I took tons of great pictures, which I posted on facebook. I am so incredibly sore though, I can barely move my neck, and my whole body aches. But it's good, because it means I had a great time. After it was over we went to Julie's house and spent the night. Then I drove back to Fox at 5am with Brandon, Carter, and Kris. I had to work on homework, so by the time I got to class at 9 I was so exhausted I almost fell asleep. After class, Karina, Jen, Julie, and I watched more Sailor Moon, then I took a 3 hour nap before going to a forum type thing in Portland.
The forum was with two different scholars talking about the Synoptic Gospels and the Book of John. The first guy, Marcus Borg, is VERY unorthodox, so it was interesting to hear him speak. The second, Paul Anderson, is a prof at Fox, and he was really impressive. They're going to talk more on Saturday, and I would love to go, but I don't have a car. :(
Julie is here until Sunday, and I'm really happy to see her. Time is flying by!
