Okay, I feel better now

For those of you who don't listen to AFI, which I'm pretty sure none of you do, my title is the title from one of their songs off their new album Crash Love, which is one of my favorite cds right now. I think it's great, and while it's very different from all their other stuff, I don't think they betrayed their roots like my former favorite band. Project 86 cough cough.

Anyway, the reason why I feel better is because I talked to Jacqueline Schram, the director of the study abroad program at Grace College in Indiana, for 35 minutes today. We talked a lot about the paperwork I faxed to her yesterday, making sure everything is in order. We also talked about the program and the foyer where I'll be living. She sent me an information pamphlet via email. FINALLY. I've only been asking for this sort of a thing since the beginning of March. But oh well. At least I finally have something to read and look through. She's going to talk to the people in Paris to find out which day would be appropriate for me to fly home. I'm thinking December 10th, but we'll see if that date ends up working out. My grandma said that she'd use her United miles to hopefully get me a cheaper ticket. The cheapest tickets are about 1500, but that's flying through Iceland, which isn't a very good idea right now considering its volcanoes are constantly erupting. I also could fly through Poland, but that's not a good idea either because one of its planes CRASHED recently. I don't want to get held up by lava and ash, and I certainly don't want to die. Hopefully my grandma can find something suitable, and hopefully it won't be über expensive.

I started my online astronomy class yesterday, and its going to be harder than I thought. I hate math, and I don't like things that are really intangible. Like stars. I like learning about them, but it's hard to grasp all the science behind everything. I guess you could say the same thing about history, that its intangible, but for my whole life, history has just made sense. Loving it is who I am and it dictates how I think. My little brother is really good at physics, so I'll probably have him help me with it if I ever get stuck. He loves it. Weirdo. :) This picture is of the Lagoon Nebula. I think it looks like a butterfly.

Tomorrow Brandon Taft is coming over for dinner, and we're going to make quesadillas. YUM!! We're also going to make Pico de Gallo, which I've never made before, so it'll be an adventure. I think we'll use my Magic Bullet... so it'll get used twice tomorrow because I'm determined to make a smoothie for lunch.

Hopefully I'll find out about flights soon. If you all could be praying about that, that would be awesome.
