Fox without a lot of people is really weird. It's nice though. The air just feels lighter and I think this is the most relaxed I've been in a really long time. Probably a few years. My apartment feels really homey and the low stress load makes it really easy to come home and sit on the coach to unwind. I also feel more social, which is ironic since I was an RA last year. I think I finally have the time and presence of mind to just sit and talk to people. Most of the time I had so much going on that it was difficult to sit still. I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer and the time I'll have to process last year and slow down a bit.
My May Term class is ok. I don't really like the professor and there is this REALLY annoying woman who just bitches the ENTIRE time. One of these days I'll snap and tell her to shut up already, but for now I'm trying to keep it in. :) I do know one person so it makes it more tolerable. It's just a lot of notes but I learn really quickly by writing things down, even if I'm not paying a lot of attention to it, so it's easy to get distracted during the class. We have daily quizzes, two papers, and online exams at the end of every week. It should be pretty easy to get through, and I'll have an A at the end of the term, which will be nice. Especially since France may murder my GPA but that's another story . . .
I have a few things that need to get done this summer:
1. May Term
2. Astronomy (Online - it'd be helpful if I started it . . . )
3. Richter
4. Pack up my stuff in an organized manner
I also need to talk to Clint Baldwin about travel arrangements, email Jacqueline from Grace, and talk to my cousin to figure out if I should go to Germany before or after the semester. Right now I'm thinking I should leave the US in mid August, fly to Germany, hang out with my cousin and her family, and then take the train to Paris. It still doesn't feel very real that I'm going, but now that school's over I have time to be excited about it! I'll start on the paperwork tomorrow, so hopefully that will give me some answers. I'll also stop by Clint's office because usually it's more productive to appear in person than to email him and wait for a response.
